As vehicle-to-grid (V2G) moves from demonstration to deployment, collaboration is essential to scaling successful programs. This panel brings together The Mobility House, Resource Innovations, National Grid, and Eversource to share lessons from the MassCEC V2X Program, which funded over 1 MW of bidirectional charging infrastructure across residential homes and school bus fleet sites in Massachusetts. This session will feature perspectives from Program administrators, the Program’s technology provider, and utilities to explore how these assets are being deployed in Massachusetts and integrated into utility programs like ConnectedSolutions. Panelists will discuss real-world performance across light-duty and heavy-duty use cases, including dispatched capacity, plug-in availability, and customer participation. The session will also address methods for quantifying and communicating V2G value to customers and grid stakeholders, lessons on installation cost and site feasibility, insights from utilities, and the importance of evolving standards, certifications, and interoperability in enabling broader V2G adoption.
